This weekend, The Protagonist won the Special Distinction Award for Creativity at the Southern Shorts Film Festival in Athens, Alabama!

On September 26 The Protagonist will be showing at the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in Birmingham, AL. The detailed time and place can be found on the left side of our home page under ‘Events’ and more information can be found at the festivals website, http://www.sidewalkfest.com.
I know it’s at a pretty inconvenient time, but I hope that everyone will come out and support the film if they can!

Though it’s a bit late, I’m happy to announce that at the Campus Movie Fest International Grand Finale in Los Angeles earlier this summer; The Protagonist was nominated for Best Editing and won Best Cinematography! All of us had a blast out in LA and can’t wait for CMF to return in the coming year.

We received word recently that The Protagonist will be screening at the Campus Movie Fest International Grand Finale taking place June 11-13 on the Paramount Studios Lot in Los Angeles, CA! We’re all incredibly thrilled at this opportunity to get our movie shown to some important people in the industry. We’ll update soon with more information as we get it.

This is sort of belated but I’m happy to announce that the new Sprankle Studio film, The Protagonist, has won Best Drama at Campus Movie Fest Alabama. The Protagonist will move on to the regional competition which is being held March 28 - 29 in Atlanta, GA. Root for us and we’ll update with more information when we get it!

Production has now begun on Sprankle Studios’ film for the Campus Movie Fest competition.
The Protagonist stars Dave Kilgo and Wallis Barton with supporting roles by Guy Fauchon and Angie Watkins. The film will premiere on February 5, 2009 at the Ferguson Theater on the University of Alabama Campus.
